Privacy Policy

Information you give us

• Account details: your email and display name; authentication info (a password or a sign-in provider such as Google); and optional profile fields like avatar, bio, and timezone.
• Show and episode details you create, and the board content you submit (topics, prep notes, comments).
• If you’re a listener: an optional email and display name, plus the topics, questions, votes, and reactions you submit.

Payment information (when paid questions are active)

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store full card numbers. We keep records of transactions (amount, status, the question, and the email used for the receipt). Paid listener questions are not yet available.

Information collected automatically

• Your IP address and basic device/browser information.
• A signed visitor identifier stored in a cookie, used to recognize returning listeners and to limit spam.
• Product-usage and session-replay analytics via Microsoft Clarity. Form fields — including any email or text you type — are masked in recordings.
• Error and performance diagnostics via Sentry.
• If you enable them, push-notification subscriptions.

How we use information

• To run, secure, and improve the Service.
• To generate Auto-Brief content and detect duplicate suggestions.
• To prevent spam and abuse.
• To send service emails and notifications you’ve opted into.
• To process payments (when active).
• To comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

To power Auto-Brief and duplicate detection, board and episode content is sent to OpenAI and Anthropic through their APIs. Per those providers’ API terms, your content is not used to train their models. We do not sell your data.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies for sign-in, for the listener identifier, and for analytics. We use Microsoft Clarity for usage analytics and session replay (with inputs masked), and Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from bots. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your data.

How information is shared

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with service providers (“sub-processors”) who help us run Beepeek, each for that purpose alone:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — hosting
• Resend — email delivery
• Microsoft Clarity — analytics and session replay
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection
• Sentry — error monitoring
• OpenAI and Anthropic — AI features
• Stripe — payments (when active)
• Push notifications are delivered through your browser/device’s push service (e.g., Google, Apple, Mozilla).

Disclosures required by law

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Beepeek, our users, or the public.

Public content

Boards and episode pages are public by design. Anything you post to a public board — for example a topic, or a question a host adopts, shown with the name you choose — may be visible to anyone. Private items, such as host prep notes and un-adopted paid questions, are not shown publicly.

Your choices and rights

From your settings you can edit your profile, export your data, and delete your account. Deleting your account removes or anonymizes your personal data, except what we must keep for legal or security reasons.

If you’re in the EU/UK, you have GDPR rights: access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and restriction. In California, you have CCPA rights: to know, to delete, and to opt out of “sale” (we don’t sell). To exercise any of these, email privacy@beepeek.fm.

Data retention

We keep personal data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it — except where law requires us to keep it longer (for example, payment records).

International transfers

Beepeek is operated from, and uses providers in, the United States and other countries. Using the Service involves transferring your information to those countries, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.

Children

Beepeek isn’t directed to children under 16 (or the age of digital consent where you live), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and secret-signed identifiers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes to this Policy

If we update this Policy, we’ll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you.
